A new update to BedWars: Season 4 is deploying to all regions. This update focuses on balance, and adding 6 new challenges.

Balance Changes

Developer note: The Jet Booster is a really fun item, but we’ve heard a lot of discussion about it being too powerful. Based on player feedback we have decided to balance this item slightly, while keeping it fun to use. We will continue to monitor feedback and tweak if neccessary.

Jet Booster Changes

• Price increased from 6 to 9 emeralds

• Overheating explosion damage increased from 4 to 7 hearts (ignoring armor)

• Changed heat cool off curve:

  • Slightly increased base cool off value

  • Higher heat values will now take longer to cool down

New Season Challenges

Six new season challenges have been added, enabling you to purchase everything from the Challenge Merchant:

• Glass Cannon: Win 3 games of BedWars without wearing armor

• Space Sniper: Hit players with projectiles (arrows, fireballs, wind charges, etc.) 200 times

• Controlled Demolition: Explode 500 blocks

• Gale Force: Throw 200 wind charges

• Extinction Event: Eliminate 10 teams

• Hands Off!: Win 2 games of BedWars without placing blocks

Remember, the cosmetics sold by the Challenge Merchant will leave after Season 4’s conclusion, so if you see something you like, make sure to grab it!

Developer note: Some of these challenges replaced the deprecated Cosmic Clash challenges. As a result, people that started/completed the Cosmic Clash challenges may end up with more challenge medals than they can spend. This is intentional.
