Part hamster, part robot... The Robo Hammy can now be purchased from the Quest Store!

For the next 24 hours, players will receive DOUBLE XP in all games!

All additional XP bonuses (XP boosters, Hive+, and login streak rewards) will stack with this bonus.

Double XP will be granted until the 1st of August, at 7pm UTC.

We are making some changes to the versions of Minecraft that we support.

To preface this article, we are not removing support for non-RenderDragon versions at this time.

To ensure that we can continue supporting older clients to our high standards, we're reducing the range of client versions that we support. This allows us to plan around a known set of clients, making development and testing easier. 

Going forward, The Hive will now only support the following versions of Minecraft:

1.18:

• 1.18.10, 1.18.11, and 1.18.12

1.19:

• 1.19.50, and 1.19.51
• 1.19.80, 1.19.81, and 1.19.83

1.20:

• 1.20.0, and 1.20.1
• 1.20.10, and 1.20.12

If you are not using one of the versions of Minecraft listed above, you will need to update your game to be able to join The Hive.

These changes will not have any impact on gameplay.

How long will The Hive support 1.18 versions of Minecraft?

Whilst we have no plans to drop support for the remaining 1.18 versions of Minecraft in the immediate future, it is unfeasible to retain support for these versions indefinitely. 

There are multiple factors that may lead us, or force us, to drop support for older versions of Minecraft:

• A newer version of the game contains functionality required by updates to our games or other experiences
• Microsoft disables functionality in older versions of the game, such as the Marketplace or other services required to authenticate with our server

We will be sure to give plenty of notice should we need to drop support for 1.18.

Our brand-new hub will be arriving before next Friday; this is your last chance to collect any hub cosmetics you haven't unlocked yet!

When the new hub arrives, the Arcade hub will be vaulted, so if you wish to collect any of the unlocks that are available in the Arcade hub, you'll need to do so soon. This includes the Golden Mailbot costume (awarded for finding all of the 100 golden Mailbot statues), and the hub title that's awarded for riding the Monorail for one hour.

Additionally, the rewards for completing the parkour courses in the main hub will no longer be obtainable once the new hub is released, so be sure to grab them while you still can!

This update regards our API, a programmatic way to access some of the Hive's data. It's mainly intended for a more technical audience. For more information about our API, check out our support site. 

Pets, mounts and hats are now listed under the MAIN "game" on the API. This information is supplied as a string array for each type.

We expect to provide an "available cosmetics" endpoint in the future, with additional metadata for all cosmetics/unlocks. At this time, we have no expected timeframe for this.

Map information is now available on the API. The new /game/map/:game endpoint lists all the enabled maps for the given game

Please note the following:

• Disabled and/or removed maps will not show, there is no "archive".
• Season is one of NO_SEASON,WINTERFEST,SPRING,HALLOWEEN,AUTUMN,SUMMER
• Variant is one of REGULAR,DUOS,TRIOS,SQUADS,MEGA,ROYALE
• The above enums might change, and new ones may be added: handle unexpected data safely.
• There currently exists no way to retrieve the active season.
• Due to seasonal maps, duplicate names can and will appear for some games. The one matching the current season is active in-game.
• Data might be "out of date" by up to an hour.
• Games with no, or 1, configured map(s) will return a 404.
• As with other API endpoints, we don't guarantee the uptime, correctness or (future) existence of this endpoint and data.

Refer to the auto-generated API docs for the latest available endpoints and in-browser "try it out".
