Mojang has released Minecraft 1.18 today, November 30th. As usual, the Hive has full support for this version of Minecraft.
If you wish to play without the RenderDragon engine on Windows 10, we've updated our support page with the download link for 1.18. You can also obtain the 1.18 32-bit non-RenderDragon directly HERE.
Please note that due to our wish to use new features, blocks and items from Minecraft 1.17, The Hive will be dropping support for 1.16 versions of Minecraft on or after the 3rd of December. We will be supporting 1.17 versions of the game for the foreseeable future, but generally advise the most recent version of the game.
To prepare for an upcoming version of Minecraft, our North America and Europe regions will be temporarily unavailable for maintenance. Players will connect to Asia during this time.
Back by popular demand: The Hive Block Friday sale! Save on many Hive store offers this weekend:
For costumes and Hive+, this sale also applies to Gift versions.
Hive+ sale ends early Saturday, November 27th. Costume and booster sale ends early Monday, November 29th.
In the coming week, Hive+ will be updated. The hub titles, avatars, and costume will be replaced with newer, better ones.
Anyone who has already purchased Hive+ will keep the current cosmetics and receive the new ones free of charge when the offer is updated.
As a result, these are the last few days new Hive+ purchases will receive:
We understand a specific subset of players collects cosmetics, so consider this a last-chance notice before these cosmetics will no longer be collectible.
You're going to love the new cosmetics!
For those affected by performance issues, input delay, and "pink glitch" on Windows 10, we now provide a tutorial on installing the non-RenderDragon version of Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Whilst we can't guarantee this resolves all 1.17 issues for all players, it is worth trying this if you are affected by the aforementioned bugs.
Despite 1.17 having been released almost 6 months ago, up until now, The Hive has continued to allow players to play on some 1.16 versions of Minecraft.
Whilst we understand that a small number of players have continued to use 1.16 in order to avoid bugs that have been introduced in some of the more recent versions of Minecraft, continuing to support these older versions would leave us unable to use any of the new features that the newer versions of Minecraft bring.
The Hive will be dropping support for 1.16 versions of Minecraft on or after the 3rd of December.
From this point onwards, you will need to update to a 1.17 version to be able to join The Hive.

Players that have reached the maximum level (100) can now prestige. Prestiging will reset your level to level 1, and grant you the following rewards:
Global unlocks (hub titles, costumes, and avatars) that you previously unlocked through leveling up will be kept, but you will have to unlock in-game unlocks again, by leveling up.
You can prestige multiple times, and each time you do, you will unlock a new prestige icon, and additional hub titles and avatars.
Personal Win Streaks
Treasure Wars now tracks personal win streaks. Your current win streak is displayed on the stats hologram in all Treasure Wars lobbies.
To prevent targeting, we will not be making players' win streaks public, nor will the data be available on our API.

As always, we'll be making changes based on your feedback - be sure to tell us your thoughts on our Discord server or forums!
Thanks to your feedback, we're continuing to update SkyWars: Kits. Today's update sees a slight rework to the trapper kit and a few other changes.
Developer note: We heard that trapper was slightly too underpowered. We hope these changes help. We understand this could result in an over-correction and we will be monitoring feedback closely. We understand this might make the builder kit less valuable, however, we're planning to add some new perks to the builder kit - including a block breaker boombox.
Developer note: We heard that the sound/perk is giving away too much information to nearby players. This meant nearby players knew you were on critical health and would then chase the kill. We're hoping this balances that slightly and will continue to tweak if needed.
Keep the feedback coming, SkyWars Kits is a living game and will be updated regularly.
Thank you for all the great feedback on SkyWars: Kits so far. We will continue updating this new type as time goes on.
