Cross-Region Matchmaking, part of our ongoing Region Agnostic update, is now enabled for BlockDrop and Ground Wars on the Europe and Asia regions.
Cross-Region Matchmaking activates based on the amount of player queuing for a specific game type. When this number is below a threshold, the system will try to find a lobby on a different region.
You can learn more about Cross-Region Matchmaking on our support website.

Star Coins collected in Parkour Worlds can now be spent at the Star Merchant!
The Star Merchant can be found in the Parkour Worlds microhub and offers a range of unique unlocks and cosmetics, including avatars, costumes, and various game unlocks.
Access to worlds is based on the total number of Star Coins that you have earned; spending Star Coins will not revoke your access to worlds that you have unlocked, nor hinder your ability to unlock worlds in the future, should more be added.
More Star Coins will be available in the future—don't worry if you can't unlock everything just yet!
Get ready to embark on an epic journey into a world of parkour!
Parkour Worlds is a brand-new microhub filled with epic parkour courses for you to complete and conquer.

Our new and improved website leaderboards are now available! In addition to the in-game /leaderboards commands, you can now access the monthly and all-time leaderboards on our PlayHive.com website.
To get there quickly with a memorable URL, use: https://hivebe.link/lbs

Hive Backpack, Assistant and Tools are community-ran projects not affiliated with The Hive. Some information on these services is community-sourced and may be outdated or incorrect. Use at your own risk.
Our first 4 purchasable Back Blings are available now! This new type of cosmetic, worn in the chestplate slot, adds a whole new dimension to your Hive customization. Back Blings are usable in hubs, game lobbies, and a select number of games in the near future.
Back Blings share their rarity, and as such pricing structure, with Hats. We're slowly renaming Hat Tokens to Accessory Tokens: starting today, you can use these Tokens to gift both Hats and Back Blings. Until this change has fully rolled out, the term Hat Token will remain visible in some places.
So whether you choose to grab some wings, carry around a whole solar system, or keep it simple but cute with a bear... there's something for everyone, with lots more coming soon.
Fast-following from Hats, Back Blings are now also global unlocks! You can now access them with /backbling, use them in game lobbies, and interact with them like any other global unlock. Purchasable Back Blings will become available in the near future. In a future update, Back Blings will be wearable during gameplay in select games.
Starting today, we're running a limited test with improved locker search: some players will see unowned, but available for purchase, global unlocks when searching their locker. Unowned unlocks are clearly marked as such. Players with access to this feature can opt-out using a new toggle in /toggles.
We've also added support for an upcoming version of Minecraft: 1.20.70.
Starting today, hats are now global unlocks! They now work more similar to costumes, hub titles and avatars.
The new /hat command is available server-wide. This also includes all sub commands, such as searching using the command, /hat random et cetera. The game you're in decides if you can actually equip a hat or not: this hasn't changed from before.
Under the hood, we've also made some deep changes to how existing unlock types work. Whilst this won't affect you as a player directly, it allows us to easier manage our ever growing catalogue of unlocks and unlock types.
With the upcoming release of purchasable Back Blings, that unlock type will also become a global unlock type in the very near future.
This update regards our API, a programmatic way to access some of the Hive's data. It's mainly intended for a more technical audience. For more information about our API, check out our support site.
As part of our upcoming microhub update, we've been improving the way specific data for games (levels, unlocks, et cetera) is stored and accessed internally. Thanks to these changes, we now also expose game metadata on the API. Currently, this is limited to level and prestige information, but we plan to expose locker- and unlock data in the future.
Find the new endpoint under /game/meta/{game}, or try it on the interactive documentation page.
Showing off your statistics, checking in on the competition or browsing some lockers; it has become a whole lot easier (and prettier) with our new website profiles!
