UPDATE: The daily quest list has been updated.

We are finishing the rollout of various fixes, after which the daily quests list will update. Until then, the quests for the previous day will remain available.

This post will be updated once the daily quests have been refreshed.

• Quest limit now resets at the same time for all players, at the same time as the new daily quests: midnight GMT (UTC)
• Quests without a specified subtype now work on all subtypes (Survival Games, Treasure Wars)
• 18 new quest types for better variety
• Quests can now be cancelled after 10 minutes
• Cancelled quests no longer count against your daily limit
• Overhauled in-hub UI for quests, including progress, limit-timer and cancel-timer
• Global (usable everywhere) /quest command for quick progress updates

Known issues:

• Reset timer seems wrong - this is currently based of your join time (not quest accepting-time), and for those playing the EU region, this timer has been running since before the launch of quests. For clarity, this will soon be updated to reset daily alongside the Daily Quests.
• Treasure Wars and Survival Games quests don't seem to work in duos/trios/etc - we are working on a fix. For now, Daily Quests will specify the specific gamemode.
• Low quest variety - Many more quest types will be released with the next update.
• No way to check your progress - both in-hub and in-game ways to check your progress will be added in the next update.

We have tracked down an issue causing lag/stutter on the network. We are deploying a hotfix.

Alongside todays Quest Master preview, we're happy to announce that we've pushed fixes to block placement on The Hive.

This means placing blocks, particularly when bridging in Treasure Wars, should be much more predictable.

If you are still experiencing issues, please report them on our forums.

After nearly a year of travelling the word, the Quest Master has arrived!

Every day, the Quest Master has 12 new quests available. Of these:

• 6 are "easy" quests, giving 10 QP (Quest Points)
• 4 are "medium" quests, giving 20 QP
• 2 are "hard" quests, giving 30 QP

Once you've accepted a quest, you have unlimited time to finish it. However, you can't accept another quest - you either have to finish your current one, or cancel it. You're able to cancel a quest after 1 hour.

You'll get in-game feedback on your quests - for quests requiring multiple stages, e.g. multiple games, you'll get a simple Quest progress updated message when you've gone up a stage. Once completed, you'll get a more prominent message telling you to head back to the Quest Master to hand in the quest.

So... why should you do quests? Well, the Quest Master has new items in store every month on which you can spend your QP. Until the end of October, you can get:

• XP Booster (1 hour, game of choice) for 400QP
• Rubber Ducky Costume (Quest Exclusive!) for 1000QP
• Costume Gift (gift ANY costume on our store) for 1500QP

Regular members are capped at 4 quests a day - this means you can earn 100QP a day at most, allowing Regular daily players to buy all store items. Plus members can do up to 8 quests a day, which is 160QP a day.

For those questing at launch - the current quests, including the "hard" level quests, are purposely easy so it's easier to test. As we add more content and quest types, this will change.

UPDATE: This issue should now be resolved. To reload your server list, fully QUIT the Minecraft game and start it back up.

We have notified Microsoft of an issue causing The Hive, and other servers, not appearing on the Featured Servers tab for all users.

Players on mobile and Windows 10 can direct connect instead:

This is an early heads-up that sadly, we won't be releasing new costumes this week. Due to a configuration issue on the Minecraft Marketplace, we've had to delay our upcoming releases.

The new costumes, shown below, will release at a later date. We apologize for this delay.
