Developer note: We understand everyone is super excited to hear more information about Bed Wars. We'll be announcing when you can expect to play Bed Wars soon! In the meantime, our content team has been super busy working on some amazing content updates for you. SkyWars update soon?? SG Map?? Who knows!

As of today, The Hive only supports versions 1.20.50 and 1.20.51.

If playing on a version below 1.20.50, you will need to update your Minecraft version to continue playing on The Hive.

These changes allow us to use features introduced in newer versions of Minecraft, and help us to ensure that we can continue supporting older clients to our high standards. Reducing the range of client versions that we support also enables us to plan around a known set of clients, making development and testing easier.

This small change roundup features recent changes that weren't covered in individual update posts.

Updates since January 5th, 2024

Treasure Wars

Bed Wars development is going great, and we'll be able to share more soon. In the meantime, we've ported some small quality of life features from Bed Wars to prevent exploits.

• Implemented block suffocation damage

Developer note: This change was implemented to prevent players from being able to glitch themselves into the floor to hide and stall games. We may tweak this feature based on community feedback.

• Implemented AFK kick system (Treasure Wars: Mega)
  

Developer note: This feature has been implemented to combat the increase in players intentionally going AFK to gain XP in Treasure Wars. Whilst the feature is only enabled on Treasure Wars: Mega to begin with, we plan to bring it to other modes in the future, based on feedback.

Survival Games

• Implemented colored boombox item textures
• Improved UI for supply drop and grace period notifications

Winterfest is nearly over, and will be leaving on Friday.

If you haven't yet managed to locate and build all of the snowmen around the hub, be sure to do so before Friday, as the Chillbert costume and Blizzard Buddy hub title will never be obtainable again!

Happy new year! The Red Bot costume can now be purchased from the Quest Store.

Winterfest is upon us, and we're kicking off the celebrations with the return of 12 Days of Gifting!

Every day until December 25th, a new surprise will be waiting for you under the Winterfest tree. Make sure to log in daily and unwrap your special gift! Remember, each gift is a one-day wonder – available for 24 hours only. Once a gift disappears, it's a wrap!
